Embers of the Soul: Toxic Masculinity

Let's talk about toxic masculinity –  those societal expectations that tell us we have got to be tough, aggressive, and keep our emotions in check. It's like living in a box where we can't fully be ourselves or explore all the different sides of who we are.

We're constantly feeling the pressure to be successful in our careers, stay strong physically, and perform well in the bedroom. And when we don't measure up, it can really mess with our heads.

In our relationships, we're expected to be these strong, silent types – making it hard to open up or have honest conversations about how we're feeling. And if we're struggling emotionally, it's like we're not supposed to talk about it, which only makes things worse.

The worst part? Toxic masculinity makes stuff like aggression and sexism seem normal, like it's just how things are supposed to be.

But here's the deal – we've got to recognize and challenge these expectations if we want to grow as men and build genuine connections with others. We've got to make different choices if we want to fully show up in our relationships.
